Research policy

KNS Institute of Technology is committed to promoting Research and Development among teachers, research scholars and students. The research policy aims to realize the vision and mission of the college by contributing in areas of academic, Industry and socially relevant significance, it also aims at ensuring that the research activities conform to the safe and ethical conduct of research. The College Management is committed to provide required monetary and infrastructural support towards promotion of research and building a strong research ecosystem. The Benefit all be provided to any faculty of KNSIT appointed at the level of Assistant Professor or above , on regular basis who has completed one year of service in the institution. This is with effect from ACY2022-23 (June – May)

Procedure

The Faculty fulfilling the eligibility and claiming the incentives to meet the IQAC Head, Convener of Research committee and produce all the details. After the verification and proper entry in database the IQAC Head will recommend to the principal. Finally after principal approval, the same may be submitted back to IQAC Head for further processing and sanction.

Award of cash incentives for research publication

  • The Journal paper must he having KNSIT Affiliation and Claiming Faculty to he the first or second Author of the paper.
  • Each faculty is eligible to claim orb once in an Academic year in each quality/Quartile Range category.
  • The conference publications converted to Journals shall not he considered.

Award of cash Incentive for writing technical books

  • Cash incentive of Rs 5000/- will be awarded for publishing technical books with ISBN ‘ through reputed publishers at State/ National level.
  • The Book must be having KNSIT Affiliation and Claiming Faculty to be the first or Second Author of the Rook.
  •  Each faculty is eligible to claim only once in an Academic year.

National / International Conference

  • Faculties are encouraged to present their research work in national and international conferences and also to attend the FDPs organized by premier institutions. The incurred expenditure will be paid on reimbursement bash which includes the Registration Fee only.
  • Each faculty is eligible to claim only once in an Academic year.

Faculty Development Programs

  • Faculties are encouraged to attend the FDPs organized by premier institutions. The incurred expenditure will be paid on reimbursement basis which includes the Registration Fee only.
  • Each faculty is eligible to claim only once in a Academic year.

Award of Cash Incentives for Patents

  • Faculties are encouraged to Apply for the patents both National and international Level, The cash incentive of Rs 5000 INR will be given for the patent Publication and Rs 7500 INR for the grant.
  • Each faculty is eligible to claim only once in a Academic year in publication and Grant category.

Professional body Membership

  • 50% Annual Membership fee reimbursement of any Indian professional body such as IEIT, CSI, IETE etc., or in respective domain of the faculty member will he provided. Only one membership per Academic year assistance

Admission Procedure for B.E Courses  

  • The Application form should be filled completely and correctly and handed over to the office.
  • There would be an interview scheduled for the candidate.
  • Selected candidates shall be enrolled on payments of the fees as per the Fee Structure
  • The outstation students need to download the application form & send it across to the college address mentioned on the form.
  • In complete application form will be considered as not valid
  • A telephonic interview would be conducted, however it will be valid only after the application form reaches the admission cell
  • Selected candidates will be informed and shall be enrolled on payments of the fees as per the “Fee Structure”.
  • All the candidates will have to submit original certificates at the time of admission.
  • The admission is subjected to Visvesvaraya Technological University Approval. 

Required Certificates for B.E Courses  

  • 10 / SSLC / ICSE / CBSE Pass certificates with the date of birth proof
  • PUC or equivalent Marks Card.
  • Transfer certificate from the School / College last attended
  • Conduct Certificate from the School / College last attended.
  • Migration Certificate in the case of students who have passed exams other than Karnataka PU Exam.
  • Address Proof (Latest Telephone Bill / Gas Connection Bill
  • 6 passport size photographs.

Additional Documents In Case Of Foreign Students

  • Valid students Visa.
  • Passport Copy.
  • Residential Permit.
  • Eligibility Certificate to be obtained from Visvesvaraya Technological University by the students who have passed their qualifying examination from a foreign University.
