Why KNSIT ?
K.N.S Institute of technology was established in the year 2001 by Sri Late C.K Jaffer Sharief, Former Union Railway Minister, Govt. of India in the memory of his Son Late. Sri Khader Nawaz Sharief and was inaugurated on 17th October 2002, in the presence of Shri Late Dr. Raja Ramanna , renowned Scientist of World repute and first chairman of KNSIT Governing council, Dr. Natarajan former Chairman AICTE, New Delhi, Dr. K. Balaveera Reddy, Former Vice-Chancellor Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.
KNSIT is built on a sprawling 20 acre campus with Superior infrastructure. The vibrant campus of the institution was designed to give more learning space to students. The Departmental blocks are superior in architecture. The campus is equipped with facilities from the cafeteria and hostel to state-of-the-art laboratories and seminar halls.

Data science uses scientific methods, tools and techniques to extract unstructured and structured data, and also it deals with how to apply these to access data across a broad range of application domains.
The department of Information Science and Engineering provides basic and specialized skills in areas such as design, programming, and user interfaces
Department of Physics as a basic science department provides a perfect platform for the pupil entering into higher education with healthy and enthusiastic environment with state-of-art infrastructure in Engineering Physics.
The chemistry department which help in understanding the concepts and theories of which all the branches have been evolved.
The department provides a comprehensive introduction to mathematics and usage of modern tools such as MATLAB, PYTHON and SCi-LAB aligning with the prescribed VTU syllabus.

The Humanities department is devoted to teach Constitution of India, Professional Communication and Life skills, and Kannada Language to students of B.E/B.Arch. first-year all branches. Bridge Course in Communicative English for NRI and rural students.
