ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering-(Data Science) was started in the year 2021-2022 with an approved intake of 60. Department is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi.

Data science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, tools and techniques to extract unstructured and structured data, and also it deals with how to apply these tools, techniques and methods to access data across a broad range of application domains.

The Department of CSE-(DS) practices Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The department has state-of-the-art laboratories and also an adequate infrastructure and other supporting facilities. The department has highly qualified faculty from premier institutes in India and these experienced faculties from the department provide enhanced learning environment to all students. The Department of CSE-(DS) has the engineering aspirants from all over the country.

Empowering students to solve real time computing problems and its applications and also make them socially responsible engineers in the domain of Data Science.

Admission Procedure for B.E Courses  

  • The Application form should be filled completely and correctly and handed over to the office.
  • There would be an interview scheduled for the candidate.
  • Selected candidates shall be enrolled on payments of the fees as per the Fee Structure
  • The outstation students need to download the application form & send it across to the college address mentioned on the form.
  • In complete application form will be considered as not valid
  • A telephonic interview would be conducted, however it will be valid only after the application form reaches the admission cell
  • Selected candidates will be informed and shall be enrolled on payments of the fees as per the “Fee Structure”.
  • All the candidates will have to submit original certificates at the time of admission.
  • The admission is subjected to Visvesvaraya Technological University Approval. 

Required Certificates for B.E Courses  

  • 10 / SSLC / ICSE / CBSE Pass certificates with the date of birth proof
  • PUC or equivalent Marks Card.
  • Transfer certificate from the School / College last attended
  • Conduct Certificate from the School / College last attended.
  • Migration Certificate in the case of students who have passed exams other than Karnataka PU Exam.
  • Address Proof (Latest Telephone Bill / Gas Connection Bill
  • 6 passport size photographs.

Additional Documents In Case Of Foreign Students

  • Valid students Visa.
  • Passport Copy.
  • Residential Permit.
  • Eligibility Certificate to be obtained from Visvesvaraya Technological University by the students who have passed their qualifying examination from a foreign University.
