ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of ECE was established in 2001 and was a part of KNS Institute of Technology Since its inception. The Department offers B.E. program with a student intake of 60. The Department is well equipped with modern laboratories and has well qualified experience faculty members. The Department offers in-house projects, technical seminars, workshops and technical training and arranges regular Industrial visits to ISRO, Jetking, BEL etc.to prepare students to meet the needs of industry. The Department conducts FDP’s in the latest technologies to train the faculties and to encourage them to do research. The Department has professional membership from IETE, New Delhi and IEEE where more than 300 students are its members. The students’ forum is active in conducting various programs like workshops, invited lectures and exhibitions under the aegis of KNS ISF.

Over the last few decades, revolution in Electronics has rapidly changed the way much of the world works. Developments in transistor technology, Electronic circuits, IC manufacturing, information processing and telecommunications have fundamentally altered human life. Despite its short history as a formal academic Engineering discipline, Electronics & Communication has made a number of fundamental contributions to science and society. The importance of Electronics & Communication field is becoming immense with every passing day. Whether it is for automation, communication or simple entertainment, Electronics have become an indispensable part of machines with its hardware glued together with software.
We are proud to have state-of-the-art laboratories and dedicated faculty to support our academic program. Our highly qualified and experienced faculty members believe in excellence in teaching and research, exposing students to fundamental knowledge and problem solving techniques as well as practical and experimental skills that will enable them excel in today’s competitive industrial environment for a successful and rewarding career.

Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
