ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering at KNSIT was founded in 2010 with an intake of 60. This department is the foundation that has produced several Civil Engineers. In turn, their contributions to society have made this department and Institute proud. The department’s multifaceted faculty continues to strive by exploring new frontiers of knowledge and imparting the most recent technical knowledge to students. The department s actively involved in consultancy work.
Aside from regular classroom instruction, students are exposed to cutting-edge Civil Engineering practices through institute industry interaction, internships, field visits, in house projects, technical seminars, workshops and in-house/on-site camps. The Civil department has a fully equipped laboratory and encourages consulting. The CAD lab is adequately equipped with the latest hardware/software and has helped students to keep up skills in recent versions of STAAD-PRO, AUTOCAD, PRIMAVERA, MS Project, RIVET, and GIS.
The department has MOU’s to help student internship programs and placement.
Many of our students have also excelled in extra curricular activities and awarded many prizes at both college and inter college events
Our alumni are employed in a various Institutions, Industries, and Government sectors. The increased interactions with academia and industry have truly made our department one of the top choices for students.
